Our Philosophy
This site exists to give our community a place to buy, sell, trade, connect, and communicate freely.
We believe adults should be able to make their own choices.
We are permissive by design — if something is legal, it likely belongs here.
However:
👉 Illegal activity is not permitted. Ever.
👉 This is a zero-tolerance rule.
1. The Law Comes First
All posts, listings, and interactions must comply with:
- Local laws
- State laws
- Federal laws
If it’s illegal offline, it’s illegal here.
This includes — but is not limited to — prohibitions on:
- Stolen property
- Controlled substances where illegal
- Fraudulent services
- Illegal weapons transfers
- Wildlife violations
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Counterfeit goods
- Unlicensed services where licensing is required
If we determine something violates the law, it will be removed immediately.
Repeat or severe violations may result in:
- Account removal
- Reporting to appropriate authorities
2. Legal ≠ Approved
We allow legal content — even if controversial.
However, we may remove content that:
- Creates legal risk for the platform
- Is clearly intended to facilitate illegal conduct
- Attempts to evade laws or regulations
Examples:
❌ “Private gun sale — no paperwork”
❌ “Under-the-table labor to avoid taxes”
❌ “Help bypass background checks”
Even if phrased indirectly.
3. No Fraud or Deception
You must represent honestly:
- What you’re selling
- What you’re offering
- Who you are (to a reasonable extent)
Not allowed:
- Misleading listings
- Fake services
- Scam attempts
- Impersonation
- Pyramid / “get rich quick” schemes
4. Respect Private Property & Ownership
Do not list:
- Stolen goods
- Items you don’t have the right to sell
- Found items without good-faith attempt to return
5. Age-Restricted Items
Listings involving age-restricted goods (where legal) must follow applicable laws.
You are responsible for ensuring:
- Legal eligibility of buyers
- Required transfers or procedures
We are not a workaround for legal safeguards.
6. No Exploitation
Zero tolerance for content involving:
- Minors in inappropriate contexts
- Coercion
- Exploitative labor
- Trafficking of any kind
7. Services Must Be Lawful
Offering services?
You must follow any licensing or regulatory requirements that apply.
Not allowed:
- Unlicensed work where licensing is required by law
- Services intended to evade regulation
Example:
❌ “Cash-only electrical work — no permits”
8. Meet Safely — Your Responsibility
Transactions are between users.
We strongly recommend:
- Meeting in public places
- Using safe payment methods
- Following common-sense precautions
We do not mediate disputes.
9. Moderation
We aim for minimal interference.
But we will remove content that:
- Violates the law
- Clearly encourages illegal conduct
- Is fraudulent
- Creates risk to the community
We reserve the right to remove:
- Posts attempting to game the rules
- Bad-faith listings
10. Community Standard
We are building a useful local marketplace — not a black market.
If your listing exists to:
- Avoid the law
- Work around safeguards
- Enable harm
…it doesn’t belong here.
Simple Rule of Thumb
✅ Legal? Likely allowed.
❌ Illegal? Not allowed.
🚫 Trying to get around the law? Also not allowed.
